Epiphone DR100 Acoustic Guitar

March 11, 2010

Acoustic guitars have always been my favorite because they are easy to play. When I started learning guitar, I bought the popular Epiphone DR100 acoustic guitar which in my opinion, is the best acoustic guitar for beginners. This is the best solution for new students who wish to lay their hands on their first guitar. Although its been 2 years since I started learning guitar and I have a new guitar too, but I still have the DR100 because I have spent some great times learning to play guitar on this guitar.

Epiphone DR100 Acoustic Guitar

The Epiphone DR100 is reviewed on millions of forums and websites and guitarists have written thousands of pages on this fabulous guitar. The reason being simple, this amazing acoustic guitar is perfect for beginners for these reasons:

  • Low cost – it costs just $99.
  • Great quality – Great quality as compared to price.
  • 6 Strings – 6 string guitars are easier to learn.
  • Durable and strong body.
  • Cheapest full size guitar.

Now that’s more than 1 reason to fall in love with this guitar. Also, you get 3 colors to choose from: Natural, Black and Vintage Sunburst. I have the vintage sunburst colored guitar and it looks amazing in that color. Talking about the quality and strength of this guitar, it is a nicely crafted acoustic guitar that sports a select spruce top and mahogany body and neck. It has chrome hardware and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Overall, I like this guitar a lot and would love to give it 9 stars out of 10. The Epiphone DR100 is at number 2 in our acoustic guitars for beginners list.

  1. Epiphone guitars used to be my best seller, good to hear they have this at $99 that is a no-branier price. Musical Instruments are a great value and is one of the few things that if bought correctly will go up in value.

  2. Nice guitar. But it doesn’t say whether it’s nylon string or steel. I want to buy a cheap but good guitar, steel string, but one that doesn’t hurt the fingers too much.
